Mountain Bike Tours in Marathon, Athens

Mountain biking in Marathon is a great way to see the city from another perspective. Marathon is located at the north part of Attica region, approximately 35 kilometers from the city centre of Athens. The area is famous for the famous battle of Marathonas. Itinerary

Pick up from your hotel and transfer to Agios Stefanos, at the outskirts of Athens.

Safety briefing and hop-on the bikes to begin riding. The excursion starts with a dirt road ending at a challenging uphill. Afterwards you shall take the main road until the Marathon Dam.

You will find the stream thereafter and follow it on the mountain bike, till you find the exit leading you to Marathon village.

You will then visit the starting point of the original Athens Marathon and soon after the National Rowing centre.

Afterwards you will head to the protected pine tree forest by the sea. You will exit the small forest and then head to visit the Tomb of the soldiers of the battle of Marathon.

Then using a coastal road you will end the tour in Nea Makri enjoying a coffee by the sea.

Return to Athens.
